At MDR LAW LLC, we believe the next generation of great attorneys is built in the trenches, not just in the classroom. That's why we are proud to introduce three summer law clerks. We are giving a hands-on legal skills development opportunity designed to give law students real, meaningful experience working alongside some of Chicago's most accomplished personal injury attorneys.
We welcome Dominik Kumiega, Karishma Sharma, and Jeremy Wise. These three bring fresh perspectives, sharp legal minds, and a passion that fits right in with our team's culture of fighting hard for every client. We can't wait to see the impact they make this summer!
What Our Law Clerks Do
Our clerks are embedded directly within the firm's practice groups, working side-by-side with partners, attorneys, and paralegals from day one. This isn't busywork, it's the real thing. Law clerks at MDR can expect to:
- Research and help draft complaints and motions
- Review and prepare written discovery requests and responses
- Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions and attend them
- Support trial preparation and case strategy
- Gain a complete understanding of how a personal injury case is built from intake to verdict
Law clerks at MDR participate in trainings, firm events, and networking opportunities that give them a well-rounded view of what it means to practice law at a high level. Our goal is for every clerk to leave with sharper legal skills, real courtroom exposure, and the confidence that comes from knowing they made a genuine difference for clients who needed someone to fight for them.
