At MDR LAW LLC, we measure our success by the results we achieve for our clients, but we are equally proud to share that the broader legal community continues to take notice of the talent and dedication our attorneys bring to their craft every day. This month, we are honored to announce that associate attorney Joshua Rappaport has been recognized as the IICLE October 2026 FLASHPOINTS Author Spotlight for his contributions as a contributing author of Premises Liability (IICLE®, 2026), one of the most respected and widely referenced legal practice guides in Illinois.
About Joshua M. Rappaport
Josh’s journey as an IICLE contributing author began in 2018, the same year he was first licensed to practice, when his father Stuart Rappaport, who had authored earlier editions of the premises liability manual, invited him to join as a co-author. What began as a family invitation has grown into a multi-edition collaboration between father and son, producing a resource that Illinois attorneys across the state rely on for premises liability research. Josh describes the 2026 edition as a comprehensive overview of Illinois law, not designed to answer every question but to serve as a strong and authoritative starting point. Notably, it is a resource he uses himself in his own active practice. As an associate at MDR LAW LLC, Josh represents injured clients exclusively on the plaintiff’s side across all types of personal injury litigation, including premises liability, medical malpractice, products liability, motor vehicle collisions, construction accidents, and work injuries, and is responsible for many multimillion-dollar recoveries on their behalf.

Fighting for Injured Clients Throughout Illinois
Premises liability cases arise when a property owner’s failure to maintain safe conditions causes a serious injury to a visitor, customer, or guest. Whether the injury occurred at a retail store, a restaurant, a residential property, a construction site, or any other location where someone had a legal right to be, Illinois property owners can be held accountable for the harm caused by their negligence.
At MDR LAW LLC, premises liability is one of the core practice areas our attorneys handle at the highest level, with the depth of legal knowledge, courtroom experience, and genuine commitment to our clients that has made the firm one of Chicago’s most respected personal injury practices for over two decades.
Josh’s contributions to the IICLE Premises Liability 2026 Edition are a reflection of that commitment — not just to our clients, but to the broader legal community and the advancement of the law that protects injured people throughout Illinois.
If you or a loved one has been seriously injured due to unsafe property conditions anywhere in Illinois, our team is ready to fight for the full compensation you deserve. We offer free, confidential consultations and charge no attorney fees unless we recover compensation for you.
